Christmas Cookie Classes

These are the Christmas Cookie samples for my classes this month. They're very easy so you can make lots of them or have the kiddos help. Or you can take them a step further and fancy them up with more details.
See Sweet! for the class details.
Merry Christmas!

Turkeys for Turkey Day!

 Gobble, gobble, gobble!
Isn't this guy cute?!
Happy Thanksgiving!!

Eagles for an Eagle Court of Honor

This is the last of a whole batch of eagles - I forgot to take pictures before they were eaten! I'm so happy to make these for Scouts who've earned their Eagle Award!
Congrats to Porter!

Stenciled Wedding Cookies

I am hooked on stenciling cookies. I made the designs and the monogram on my computer and cut them out of plastic with my Silhouette machine. Then I used royal icing on top of the glaze and like magic. . . beautiful romantic cookies!
I made this set of cookies for our dear friends' daughter's wedding reception. She asked lots of friends to bring cookies for a cookie table and I couldn't resist doing something fancy!
Congratulations to Giselle and her sweetie!

Pink Pearl Hearts

These little hearts went to my Mom for Mother's Day! I found a plate in the glass pattern she collects and piled the pearly pink cookies on it. I piped a little border on them and dusted them with a little silver luster dust. I think she liked them!

Purple Polka Dots!

These hearts were so fun to make. I had bought a purple polka dot robe to send to Leslie. It had white ruffles and was a cookie inspiration! I got almost a perfect match with the purple icing and the ruffles made them sweet and girly.
I could do ruffles on everything - I love them!

A+ Apples

These apple cookies were for the end of the school year.
I made the cutter for them and played around with using royal icing for the writing and leaf details.
I like using glaze, but it just doesn't hold a shape like royal icing. What a fun treat for a whole class of kids!

Stenciled Cookies for a Fabulous 40th Birthday

My sister Tammy had a very special birthday and to celebrate we had an amazing party!
My other sisters and I put together a fabulous dessert table. I wish I had more pictures. Amy's cake was gorgeous with lots of roses and bling. Leslie's cake pops were so delicious. Emily sorted through years of photos to make the banners on the wall to show the highlights of Tammy's life. It was stunning.
I cut these stencils with my Silhouette and used royal icing to decorate the simple white oval sugar cookies. They turned out very pretty, but they were so easy!
Our Mom picked up this chandelier at a thrift store and painted it and added bling. It was the perfect centerpiece for the party and our inspiration for all the other details.
Happy Birthday Tammy! We just loved planning this party!

Shamrocks, Leprechaun Hats, & Pots-of-Gold

So this is a re-do from last year - I'm teaching how to decorate these sparkly St. Patrick's cookies at Sweet! on March 1. I love the glitzy gold on those cute little buckles and in the pots-of-gold.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I'm loving these Valentine cookies!
They are samples for my class at Sweet! next week.
I think I'll be making lots more of these!
Happy Valentine's Day!

A Cookie Update

It's been months since my last post. I am a better cookie maker than website manager. So here's a quick review of my recent cookies.

I made quite a few BYU Y cookies and football cookies this year.

Does this little lady look familiar?
I had another order for these cuties with flowers - one of my favorite cookie combinations to make.

I made 115 of these boot favors for a country wedding.
I made my own cutter - these are 5 1/2 inches tall!
I also colored the sugar pearls with a silvery spray.
This order was a challenge and I was glad to get it done!

Our Halloween decorating class - bats, cats, and skull & crossbones.
I found some super cute Halloween bowls bowls for some half-dozen gifts.
I love those little waving ghosts and the cheery jack-o-lanterns!

And finally, (please forgive the cell phone picture) these swirly, spotty, and stripey ornaments were the samples for my Christmas decorating class. I really like the wet-on-wet swirled technique on these. And the pink and white and green are just so sweet.

And after that, my oven quit working, I was sick, Christmas happened, and I took a break from cookies. Now I have a new oven, I'm perfectly healthy, Valentine's Day is coming and...

I'm choosing to limit my baking. I have decided to change this site to a cookie gallery. I will only be showing off some of my favorite cookies. Right now, I'm not taking orders from new customers.
