BYU Cookies

These are the samples for my next class on Sept. 7th. Hope lots of people sign up to make football cookies for fall! I'm looking forward to the start of high school football games - for the marching band!
I made football jerseys for my boys with their numbers.
 And more footballs!
And BYU fans everywhere will recognize the Y logo. I've had these on my list to try for a long time. They made a fun collection with the footballs and jerseys. We made a couple of trips to BYU this summer and my boys are big fans. Go Cougars!

More Tools and Pretty Flowers

I made these last week for a friend to say Thank You to some helpful people. The tools are just like I've done before, but I used a little different color palette. The metal parts were painted with silver luster dust and had a cool metallic shimmer.
I also made 6 cookie bouquets. I've made them before, but this was a lot to do all at once. I hand cut the tulips and hand-tied bows on every stick. They turned out really nice and I think my customer liked them. I like the bright pink, red, orange, and yellow color scheme.
Thanks, Kristin!

Fruit Cookies

I made these for another class I'm teaching at Sweet! I love summer fruits and these cookies just look so fresh!
And I piled up a bunch for a sweet friend's birthday. They're so cute and tasty!

Cupcake & Ice Cream Cone Cookies

I made these recently for a sweet girl's birthday.
The 2 colors of pink and all the sprinkles are so girly!

Cookies Found!

I've been enjoying summer with my boys and I haven't taken very many cookie pictures lately. I found these from a couple months ago. I made them as samples for cookie decorating classes at Sweet and never got them posted!
Lots of ladies loved the set of girly things.

The caterpillar cutter is just adorable. I like how the segmented body turned out. And the happy frogs just make me smile!
(I'll be back baking in July!)

For My Mom

I've been wanting to try this brush embroidery technique for awhile so I had to make them for my own Mom. She is my example and my friend. She thinks I can do anything. So these cookies are an example of how she still influences me. I saw other cookie makers doing this technique and thought "I can do that!" I get that attitude from her.
I looked at lots of pictures and watched a great tutorial. (There are some really talented cookie makers out there!) And I came up with these.
At first, I wasn't sure I liked them, but when I came back later, I LOVED them. I sent them to my amazing Mom and she loves them too! Thanks for all the encouragement, Mom!
Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers in my life!

Tool Time

I recently ordered these tool shaped cookie cutters and I think I'll be using them a lot in my houseful of boys. They certainly wanted to eat these!
I hope you can see the details in this close-up. All the cushiony grips are done in bright colors and I used silver luster dust to make the metal parts really look metallic. I also used food markers to outline the metal parts. I like the sketchy look!

Spring Flowers for Administrative Assistants' Day

These springy blossoms were a last minute treat for Administrative Assistants' Day. I heard every crumb was gobbled up! I was so happy to make them and even happier that you loved them!

Easter Cookies

I love these Easter cookies! These were for a cookie decorating class I did last week. In class, we added a little more detail to the chocolate bunny and everyone got creative and did their own designs on the chick's egg shell. I made the brown glaze with cocoa in it so these chocolate bunnies even tasted like chocolate!
I really had fun making the chicks - the little ones are mini-size! We put together a whole group of newly hatched, big and little chicks.

And we just couldn't get a great picture of all the minis. I used a long skinny cellophane bag to wrap them up in sets - Perfect for in an Easter basket! My boys really liked these!
Happy Easter!

Thank You!

Todd took these Thank You cookies to work for his team. They had finished a big project and they were all bringing treats to celebrate. They really liked my cookies!
He said I could make whatever I wanted, so I got to play around with these. I really like the springy colors and the plaids.
What a tasty way to say "Thanks!"

St. Patrick's Day Cookies

I'm finally posting pictures of my St. Patrick's cookies! These were mostly for another class but a lot of them got eaten by my boys. They were so happy! Usually, they get to eat my mistakes and rejects, but lucky them, this time they got the best of the bunch! Everyone in my class loved the glittery Disco Dust on the pots of gold and the shamrocks highlighted with sparkly green sugar!

Happy Belated St. Patrick's Day!!!

Eagles for an Eagle

Last week these I sent these flags and eagles off to California for an awesome Eagle Scout. He had his Court of Honor and 16th Birthday a few days apart so some custom treats were in order!
The eagles were easier this time - practice makes perfect!
Congratulations and Happy Birthday, Cody!

Sweet Treats

Cupcakes, ice cream cones, and swirly candies - these are the samples for my next class at Sweet! It's really fun to make sugar cookies in the shapes of other sweet treats! They would be great for a birthday or a thank you or just because. I'll be making more of these, for sure!

Groovy Peace Signs

These peace sign cookies were for a 10-year-old girl's birthday party.
She only likes chocolate chip cookies and I've been wanting to try a chocolate chip cutout recipe! I think the cookies taste great and I'll definitely be making more of them!
And here's how I bagged and tied them. Too groovy! Thanks, Gina!

Just a Few More Valentine Treats

Mini cupcakes with many kinds of sprinkles.
Red Velvet Whoopie Pies - the filling in the middle is sooo good!
And Pink Heart Meringues - a family favorite.

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is such a SWEET holiday!
Here are some red and white and black minis - just a little more romantic than pink and white!
Have a LOVELY Valentine's Day!

Valentine Class

These are from the Valentine Cookie Class I taught yesterday. We had 2 classes so it was a busy day!
The students did some really awesome cookies. Swirls, plaids, and zebra stripes - kind of cute and flirty!
I didn't have my camera, so sorry about the awful picture taken with my phone.

Meet My Ladybug Friends

 I love these little ladies!
I made custom tags to go with them.
These were the favors for a baby girl's first birthday party - what a cute theme!
 They are just so happy!
Thanks, Nicole! I'm glad I got to make these for you!

Heart Minis

I just love making minis! These were really fun to do.
Hearts with arrows. Hearts with white dots around the edge. Hearts with red sprinkles.
And double hearts - one covered with micro heart sprinkles, the other with just one lovely, tiny white heart!

 Love them!
These are going to be great for Valentine's Day - in a glass jar with a beautiful bow, how pretty!

Super Bowl Cookies

These were pretty simple to do but they're for another class at Sweet! the day before the Super Bowl! Wouldn't it be great to eat these while watching the biggest game of the year? When the final teams are announced, I'll change the colors and maybe add the team logos to the helmets. Go team!
