Christmas Minis!

I made a whole bunch more of these Christmas minis. Aren't they cute?! The round jars were perfect for gifts.
I got some ideas for the designs from various cookie makers so - thanks to them for the inspiration.
This picture almost made it on our Christmas card - I just ran out of time this year - but I think I'll plan to do something like it next year! It kinda looks like our family.
Merry Christmas!

Christmas Cookie Class for Kids

Tomorrow morning I'll be teaching a cookie decorating class at Sweet! and this one is for KIDS! I think it's a great idea and I'm looking forward to it. These are the samples for the class.
Aren't these gingerbread boys cute? I am using Bake at 350's technique for the swirling peppermint candies. And who doesn't love candy canes at Christmas? This is going to be a fun class!

Music Notes

We took these music note cookies to Justin's piano recital last Saturday. Everyone liked how they looked but they LOVED how they tasted! They were simple to do, but the 3 colors made them festive. Ryan was my helper on this project - he's getting pretty good at flooding!

Christmas Cookie Class

Yesterday I taught another cookie decorating class at Sweet! It was so fun. The participants this time were happy to learn and did such a great job. Some had never ever done any decorating but their cookies turned out very nice. Here are the samples I did for the class.

The poinsettias were really fun to do because they looked better if they weren't perfect! :)
And we've scheduled 2 more classes for kids during the Christmas Break so I will be working on those and posting pictures soon!

Ninjabread Men

Well, these cutters are about the funniest things I've ever seen. And Todd calls us ninjas whenever we do something amazing. So when I saw these I had to order them. They took forever to get here, but I had some boys here request ninja cookies as soon as they arrived. I used up the Christmas colors I already had mixed so they are Christmas Ninjas.

Christmas Minis!

It's the most wonderful time of the year! I loove Christmas and this year, my first seasonal baking was this batch of minis. They are the perfect little bite-sized bite. And soo cute. Here are some of my favorite little guys.
A whole bunch of the cuties.
And here's how I'm wrapping them up.
I sent these off to CHINA with my biggest fan. :)
Yay, Christmas!

Elephants & Whales

I made these to coordinate with a baby's birth announcement that had adorable blue Mama & Baby elephants. The whale was a new cutter I wanted to try. The elephants were the stars of the show, but the whales and circles with spots & stripes filled out the theme. And the blue, green, brown & yellow colors are just right for a new little one!
These little guys are so sweet!
And check it out - my site counter passed 1000! I know those hits aren't ALL mine, so thanks to my buddies who keep coming to see my cookies!

Sock Hop

These music notes were an order for our elementary school Sock Hop. They're for the teachers who are sharing their classrooms. I didn't think the cutter I had was just right so I enlarged it and made a template to cut them out by hand. It was a little more work, but they turned out a better size.
The pink and teal is a new color combination for me, but really cute.

Halloween Time

This week I did a big batch of Halloween cookies for Todd to share at work. They were delicious and cute.
Then on Thursday, I taught my first Cookie Decorating Class at Sweet! These are the samples I made. We had 15 people come and it was really fun! I learned a few things about teaching a group and I'm thinking of some ideas for a Christmas class.

She Said Pink & Black

Tammy commented on this post that she thought these would be so pretty in pink & black and I haven't been able to get that idea out of my head. So I made some and sent them to her. She got them today, so I can finally post the pictures. The hearts are my favorites.
Thanks for the great idea, Tammy!

These are for Sheryl's family who are coming to visit! Thanks, Sheryl!

Happy Birthday, Hilary!

The lighting was awful this morning so these pictures don't show the pretty pink, peach, & green colors on these cookies. I was going for soft, subtle colors, but I think they turned out too pale. But as usual, everyone else liked them and I even got another order from someone else who saw these!
Happy Birthday, Hilary!

Baby Boy!

We know several families with new Baby Boys. They are such adorable blessings! I've done tons of rubber ducks (love the minis!) but this is my first try at the baby face flowers. I've seen other cookie decorators make them and they are sooo sweet, I had to try it for the Baby Boys.

Thank You Flowers

These were ordered by my friend, Traci, to give as a Thank You to someone who helped her out. I really like the colors on these and the sugar made them sparkle! Thanks, Traci!

Inspired by Another Cookie Maker

I spend a lot of time looking at cookie designs on the internet and I've found some very talented cookie decorators out there! I LOVE Sugar Belle's cookies. She's made some very beautiful lacey designs that I had to try out. So here's my playing around/practicing. I have a way to go, but these are still so pretty!

Todd's Birthday

I made these for Todd to take to work. It was fun to make the houses, but the mini cupcakes are still my favorite! Lots of people liked how they were decorated, but even better, they loved how they taste!
Happy Birthday Todd!

Getting Ready for Halloween Yet?

I was looking for my pumpkin cookie cutter and couldn't find it so I just had to go get one! I found a whole bunch of Halloween cuties at Michael's. And they had black & orange sugar! I had lots of fun with these, but I can't believe it's already time to plan for Halloween! Yikes!
These are minis - love them! The black cats and the skulls are my favorites!
And these are on their way to Amy's kiddos in California. Miss you guys! Hope you like them.

Mary's 60th Birthday Party

Our family does BIG Birthdays. Mom's 60th was a real treat to plan. My sister, Amy, and I made the treats for the dessert table. The cupcakes were perfect.
The cake balls were a big hit.
Don't you love a good party? I love party treats!
